UNHNews - To strengthen digital literacy and improve students’ readiness in facing the challenges of technological transformation, the Information Technology Student Association (HIMATEKNO) and the StackHub Student Activity Unit (UKM StackHub) of Universitas Nurdin Hamzah (UNH) successfully organized a collaborative seminar entitled “Kenali Ancaman, Kuasai Keamanan: Dasar Cybersecurity untuk Generasi Muda”. The event was held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the FISIPOL Hall of Universitas Nurdin Hamzah, Jambi City, and was attended by students as the main participants in this technology-focused knowledge development activity.
The seminar represented a collaborative initiative between HIMATEKNO and UKM StackHub to provide an innovative learning platform for students, particularly in the field of cybersecurity, which has become increasingly important amid rapid digital transformation. Through this program, students were encouraged to understand various digital security risks while developing awareness of protecting personal data, privacy, and online activities in today’s interconnected digital environment.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector III of Universitas Nurdin Hamzah, Ir. Mulyadi, M.Si. In his remarks, he emphasized that digital literacy and cybersecurity knowledge are essential competencies for the younger generation. These skills are considered crucial in preparing students to adapt to technological developments and meet the demands of a workforce that is increasingly influenced by digital innovation.
The seminar featured Dwi Jatmiko, S.Kom., as the keynote speaker, who delivered insights into fundamental cybersecurity concepts, various types of digital threats commonly encountered in everyday life, and preventive measures to improve digital security. The presentation provided not only theoretical understanding but also practical perspectives related to current cybersecurity challenges and how individuals can take proactive steps to protect themselves in the digital world.
Through this activity, students of Universitas Nurdin Hamzah gained broader learning experiences, opportunities for discussion, and networking opportunities in the field of information technology. This seminar reflects Universitas Nurdin Hamzah’s commitment to supporting the Kampus Berdampak program by encouraging innovative, collaborative, and impactful student activities. Through continuous initiatives, HIMATEKNO and UKM StackHub are expected to continue developing strategic programs that contribute to building a generation of digital talents who are competent, adaptive, and competitive in the era of technological advancement.
