Community Service Activity with the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) of Pematang Rahim Village

Tuesday, February 18, 2025 — Lecturers and students of the Government Science Study Program, Universitas Nurdin Hamzah,

carried out a Community Service Activity together with the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) of Pematang Rahim Village to map the ecotourism potential of peatland forests.

The objectives of this activity were to:

1.Identify ecotourism attractions based on peatland forests

2.Enhance the capacity of Pokdarwis in managing sustainable tourism

3.Develop strategies for community-based ecotourism development

With active community involvement, it is hoped that Pematang Rahim Village will be able to develop ecotourism that is not only environmentally friendly but also provides positive benefits for the well-being of local residents.
