Isra Mi’raj Celebration with the Theme ‘The Inspirational Struggle of the Prophet in Spreading the Teachings of Islam

The Isra Mi’raj is one of the most significant events in Islamic history, depicting the spiritual journey of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

This event took place during a difficult period in his life, marked by the loss of two important figures—his uncle and his beloved wife, Siti Khadijah. Amid the challenges of preaching in Mecca, the Isra Mi’raj served as a source of comfort and spiritual strength for the Prophet and the Muslim community. During this sacred journey, he received the command to perform the five daily prayers directly from Allah, establishing it as a fundamental act of worship for Muslims until today.

In addition to the meaning behind this journey, the sermon also highlighted the concept of faith, which is categorized into three levels: the unwavering faith of angels, the ever-increasing faith of the prophets, and the fluctuating faith of ordinary humans. The Prophet endured various trials and insults from the Quraysh with extraordinary patience and steadfastness. Moreover, the importance of righteous deeds was emphasized as a central theme. The three deeds whose rewards continue even after one’s death—charitable endowment (sadaqah jariyah), beneficial knowledge, and the prayers of a righteous child—remind every Muslim to continually engage in acts of goodness.
