An Excellent Private University in Jambi Holds an Internet of Things (IoT) Project Exhibition

UNHNews – An excellent private university in Jambi, Universitas Nurdin Hamzah (UNH), presented an Internet of Things (IoT) Project Exhibition as a manifestation of technological innovation collaboration between students of the Informatics Engineering Study Program and the Teknosi Study Program. The event served as a platform for students to showcase their skills and creativity in developing technology-based solutions that are relevant to today’s needs.

The enthusiasm of participants and visitors was evident from the beginning of the event, reflecting a strong collaborative spirit within the academic community. The exhibition, held on Tuesday, February 24, 2025, at the Robotics Laboratory of the FILKOM Building, UNH, featured a wide range of innovative projects. These included intelligent robots designed to assist human activities, a sensor-based fire monitoring system capable of providing early warnings, a smart garden system for automated plant management, and an IoT-based smart room integrating multiple devices into a unified intelligent system. Each project demonstrated practical and applicable implementations of Internet of Things concepts.

The head of the organizing committee stated that the exhibition was not merely a presentation of course assignments or final projects, but also a form of project-based learning. Through this activity, students were encouraged to collaborate across disciplines, sharpen their problem-solving skills, and develop innovations with real potential for community implementation. Furthermore, the event opened opportunities for further research development and technology product incubation.

Appreciation was extended to all students and supervising lecturers who contributed to the success of the exhibition. It is hoped that the innovations presented will not stop at the prototype stage, but will continue to be developed into practical solutions that benefit society at large.
