UNHNews – In welcoming the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijri, the Academic Community of Universitas Nurdin Hamzah (UNH) held a solemn gathering at the FILKOM Campus Mosque. The event served as a moment of togetherness for university leaders, lecturers, administrative staff, and students to strengthen bonds of brotherhood ahead of the blessed month. The atmosphere reflected a strong spirit of unity, which remains a core value of academic life within the campus community.
The event was officially opened by the Rector of UNH, Dr. Samsuddin, S.Sos., M.IP., who in his remarks emphasized the importance of making Ramadan a time for self-reflection and spiritual growth. He encouraged all members of the academic community to welcome Ramadan with pure hearts, sincere intentions, and a strong commitment to self-improvement—both in worship and in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities within the university environment.
The program continued with a collective prayer and tahlil dedicated to the late Dewi Asnah Nurdin, the founder of UNH. The prayer was offered as a tribute and an expression of gratitude for her dedication and invaluable contributions in establishing and developing the university. The moment was deeply moving, reminding all participants of her struggles and the exemplary values she instilled for the institution’s growth.
The gathering became even more meaningful with a short religious sermon (kultum) that highlighted the importance of preparing oneself physically and spiritually to welcome Ramadan. Messages about strengthening brotherhood (ukhuwah), enhancing faith, and increasing good deeds served as a soothing and reflective closing. Through this event, it is hoped that Ramadan 1447 Hijri will bring blessings, peace, and renewed spirit to the entire UNH family in carrying out academic activities and daily life.
